Early Years Educator

Job Description

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and caring Early years educator to be part of a
dynamic and friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity where you’ll help young
children learn and grow through fun activities and play. You’ll create a safe, happy
place where kids can develop their social and learning skills.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of how to support children’s learning and development
  • Appreciate the importance of parent partnership
  • A can-do and enthusiastic attitude
  • An understanding of how to safeguard and protect children
  • Work as part of a team to deliver a high quality, accessible early years
    curriculum for children in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
    framework.
  • Plan, prepare, develop and evaluate activities for individual and groups of
    children ensuring variety that maintains the interests of children and
    contributes to the children making progress in their learning and development.
  • Provide personal care for the children whilst at the same time encouraging
    their independence and self-help skills

Qualifications

  • a recognised qualification in childcare, ideally NVQ Level 3 or above or NVQ
    Level 2
  • Grade ‘C’ or above in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • At least two years’ experience of working within an Early Years environment,
    demonstrating continuous professional development (or at least 6 months
    experience for an Early Years Practitioner)
  • Excellent reading, writing and IT skills
  • Full DBS

Contract


Location: London, Waterloo

Hours: 35 Hours per week (shift rotas) permanent, Monday to Friday

7.45am to 6.00pm. 8-hour Shift + Flexi hours are included.

Reports to: Deputy Early Education Coordinator

Salary: £28,110 at Level 2 qualified & £29,172 at Level 3 qualified
